Featured Speaker and Program: author, hiker, and historian Walt Borneman presents “Tales from the Road: Recollections from Forty Years of Publishing”.
Walt Borneman reflects upon his amazing 40-year publishing career, recalling the stories about researching and marketing his books. His works include: 14,000 Feet: a Celebration of Colorado’s Highest Mountains; and The Admirals, a New York Times bestseller and winner of the Samuel Eliot Morison Prize for Naval Literature; and MacArthur at War, a finalist for the Gilder-Lehrman Prize in Military History.
Borneman got his publishing start in 1978 by co-authoring A Climbing Guide to Colorado’s Fourteeners. He has written for the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, the Washington Post, and FoxNews. com, along with many other publications.
