Makerspace

Get Started Making

A laser cutter, 3D printers, sewing machines, soldering stations, and other tools are available for use on the second floor of the library for free. Makerspace tools are available for drop-in use by library cardholders who have taken the online orientation.

Equipment reservations for the Laser Cutter and 3D Printers can be made during regular library open hours, except when the room is reserved for a program or training class.

Take Your Makerspace Orientation

A required five-minute online orientation will introduce you to the Makerspace. Adults with a library card who have completed the orientation can use most of the tools independently. The Laser Cutter and 3D Printers require attendance at a training class prior to use.

Teens from 15-17 years old may use the space if an adult (18+) signs their Use Agreement at the end of the online orientation. Anyone under 15 may use the space if they are accompanied by an adult who has taken the orientation:

An Estes Valley Library card is required to use the Makerspace tools. Don’t have a card yet? You can still take the orientation online now- bring your confirmation email to the library when you come to get your library card!

Laser Cutter & 3D Printer Equipment Reservation

Cardholders who have completed both the Makerspace orientation and the appropriate training class can reserve the Laser Cutter or 3D Printers online. Bring your library card to the second floor service desk at the time of your appointment and get making!
