Read 75 books aloud by the end of December! Pick up a reading log in the library’s Children’s room and earn a prize bag. One bag per child.

Families who read aloud to their children are increasing their vocabulary, background knowledge, language development and attention spans. Brain scientists have reported that unlike other activities, reading is unique in that it activates the WHOLE brain of listeners (as well as readers). Reading aloud really does provide a healthy work out for the mind.
