This fall, we’re planning for the future and building a better library. Renovations to the second floor have just begun and will continue through mid-December. While the second floor will be completely closed during this time, computer and tech services will remain available.

Computer and tech services will remain available:
Public computing:  Available on the first floor
Wi-Fi access:  Available on the first floor
Copying:  Available on the first floor
Document scanning:  Available on the first floor
Study/computing tables:  Available on the first floor

We regret that the following services will be unavailable during the renovation period:

Small Study Rooms – closed
Wasson Meeting Room – closed
Historic Newspaper Microfilms – unavailable
Rare books collection – unavailable

We look forward to these benefits coming in 2018:

Additional meeting room space
Additional small study rooms
Maker Room for creative collaboration
More adaptable computer services
Quiet reading/study area
Cozy fireplace setting

Library staff members are here to assist during this renovation time. Please ask us if you have any questions.
Renovations will serve community needs well into the future. Thank you to the Estes Valley Library Friends & Foundation for making these improvements possible.

The improvements are based on several years of planning and listening to community needs. These changes will fulfill objectives of the 2015-2020 Comprehensive Strategic Plan. You asked us for: safe and welcoming physical spaces to meet and interact with others or to sit quietly and read. You also asked for open and accessible virtual spaces that support social networking.
