Is your family social-distancing this holiday season? With many of us staying closer to home, fewer will be traveling to see loved ones and friends in person this year. And yet there are safe and creative ways for people to connect remotely across the miles.

This holiday season, the Library is helping to bring family and friends together—whether it’s with someone across town, or across the continent. Registrations are available to book the Library’s Zoom virtual meeting room platform for a holiday gathering.

Keep the spirit of the season in the air by hosting a remote Thanksgiving dinner, or your own family book club, or a read-along session with the grandkids.

This opportunity is especially for those who may not have a paid Zoom account of their own, or who would benefit from a little technical assistance from the Library staff. Click Here to request your Zoom Room booking.

Bookings should be made at least 72 hours in advance, and confirmation is based on staff availability to launch the meeting at the designated time. A gathering can be requested outside normal library hours—including evenings, weekends, and holidays. (Once a “Zoom Room” gathering is up and running, the staff member will sign off, turning the online hosting function over to the Library patron).
