The Walk for Kindness
All through February, the Estes Valley Library is participating in a village-wide collaboration: The Kindness Project.
The Kindness Project offers opportunities to celebrate community and civic spirit on all levels. It encourages us to spark good conversations with longtime friends, while making new friends along the way. It reminds us to reflect upon important acts of kindness in our lives. It recognizes the satisfaction that comes from generosity, reconnecting us with our shared humanity.
As part of this celebration, community members are invited to take part in a friendly neighborhood walk through downtown along a route between Performance Park and the Library. The Walk for Kindness will take place on Friday, February 14 beginning at 4 p.m. at Performance Park, with activities concluding by 5:30 p.m. All ages are welcome. Click here to register for the Walk for Kindness.
While enjoying the fresh air, participants will have opportunities to share conversations, spark connections, and generate kindness. It’s a chance to meet your neighbors, turn a stranger into a friend, and to interact with local nonprofits and businesses while fostering new relationships.
From Performance Park, the path will follow the Big Thompson River-Walk path, concluding in the Library’s Hondius Room where hot chocolate and refreshments will be served. There, books and hand-crafted greeting cards will be shared with participants.
Be sure to dress accordingly for that day’s outdoor conditions.
