The laser cutter is available for patrons who have attended an in-person training
The Epilog Mini 30W 12” x 18” laser engraver 
can cut wood and plastic up to 1/4″ thick as well as delicate materials like paper and engrave images on just about any material. The laser can be reserved online after training

3D Printers

3D printers are available for patrons who have attended an in-person training
The makerspace has two Prusa i3 MKS+ 3D printers:
Build area: 250mm x 210mm x 210mm (9.84 in 8.3 in x  8.3 in)
Filament diameter: 1.75mm
The 3D printers can be reserved online after training

Sewing

Three Singer Tradition sewing machines
One Brother 1034D Serger
One Brother RPE 800 Embroidery Machine

A well-stocked sewing cabinet that includes cutting mats, rotary cutters, specialty sewing machine presser feet, quilting rulers, fabric scissors, an iron and ironing board, and many other handy tools.

Scrapbooking & Paper Crafting

The Makerspace has an amazing selection of paper edge punches, paper edging scissors, a circle cutter, and a Cricut Cuttlebug hand crank embossing machine, plus a generous selection of scrapbooking paper to share. We also have a 32″ Logan Compact Classic board-mounted mat cutter for picture framing.

Vinyl Cutter (Silhouette Cameo)

Our Silhouette Cameo 3 12″ wide electronic cutting machine for cutting adhesive-backed and heat-transfer vinyl as well as paper and fabric.

Heat Press

The USCutter 15″ Clamshell Heat Press and accessories makes it easy to use heat transfer material to customize apparel and accessories! You’ll love the sturdy and professional result you get when using a heat press instead of an iron.

Soldering station & electronics tools

Our electronics cabinet contains a soldering station, third hand, brass sponge, solder, flush cutter, wire stripper, heat gun, work surface, digital oscilloscope, wire cutters/strippers, tiny screwdrivers, and a multimeter.

Starter & Project kits

A rotating selection of free project kits are available in the Makerspace on a first-come, first-serve basis. We also have starter kits of materials for the laser cutter, 3D printers, and Silhouette Cameo so you can get up and running right away! Try our Tecre 125 button maker and create fashionable 1.25″ buttons from old magazine pages or your own printouts.

Other tools

The Makerspace is set up as a complete workshop with a great selection of hand and power tools, rolling tables, lots of outlets, task lights and magnifiers, a wireless projection system, 4 computers preloaded with design software (Fusion 360, PrusaSlicer, Silhouette Studio, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, inDesign, Acrobat, Lightroom)), whiteboard, and cleanup supplies.

Microfilm Slides and Photo Station

Our SlideSnap X1 slide digitizer for digitizing 2” x 2” photographic slides and our super fast sheet-feed scanner for scanning stacks of old photos have moved to the Microfilm, Slides, and Photo Station in the second floor Computer Commons and can be reserved ahead of time using our computer booking system. Makerspace orientation, library card, and additional training are not required. Reserve a computer online now
