Summer Reading Program: Adventure Begins at Your Library
Welcome to Summer Reading! From May 17 through July 31, readers of all ages are celebrating the joy of reading while embarking on adventures of all kinds, right from your library.
Join us by tracking your reading & attending themed programs. Here’s how to get started:
- Choose your category: Adult, Tween/Teen, Middles or Littles.
- Download the Beanstack app & set up your account (or log in with your previous summer’s account info!).
- If you prefer to log your time via web browser, simply click the link above to view the desktop version.
- Middles (ages 4-11): An analog reading log (English, Spanish) is available for your tracking.
- Need help with logging your minutes? Email Youth Services.
- Read happily, whatever you choose! Listening to books counts too. Borrow books from our collection, check out the e-books through Hoopla or Libby, & download audio books with your Library card.
- Earn prizes as you tally your reading time and complete our fun reading challenges.
Adults (ages 18+) Earn tickets by registering and recording reading time, and for attending programs. Use those tickets to bid on grand prizes! You could win gift certificates to local businesses like the Estes Park Mountain Shop, Country Market, Frames, Games, & Things Unnamed, Inspired Artisan Market & Studio, & Cliffhanger Used Books.
Tweens / Teens (ages 11-18) Get a prize, just by signing up! Visit the second floor service desk to register. Earn up to 26 badges and tickets as you track your reading and activities. Use those tickets to bid on prizes.
Middles (ages 4-11) For every 120 minutes of reading or being read to, receive up to 3 prizes! Log your time in the Beanstack app and once milestones are reached, the app will prompt you to select prizes. Printed reading logs are available if needed — just stop by the Library to pick one up, or print your own from the links above.
Littles (ages 0-3) Parents, grandparents, and caregivers: read to, or with, your little ones! Littles who listen to 40 books read aloud will earn a prize bag. Exposure to reading and books at an early age has been scientifically proven to improve literacy and academic success later in life.
